A Look At Duct Cleaning Robotic Systems Used Today
Modern technology has brought the world a lot of cool things and one of those are etobicoke duct cleaning robotic systems. These new tools are helping to revolutionize the process and ensure the work is done correctly the first time every time. Using one of these units allow access to hard to reach areas that operators could not reach with previous methods.
A multiple purpose model is designed to access larger ducts and is operated by a control box with two joysticks. These units are also equipped headlights and cameras that allow the technician to easily see where they are going. Since no two ducts are created equal, the model is equipped with a remote control lift system that allows the technician to adjust the position of brushes.
Another cool option available today is the ability to show a customer before and after videos of their ventilation systems. To do this a technician makes use of an inspection robot which is equipped with multiple cameras so it can inspect and back out the same way it came. The equipment also comes with a monitor that is set up outside the shaft and relays the information in real time.
When the ventilation system is smaller than normal a micro model is called upon to traverse the shaft for inspection. The unit also has three cameras attached, two in the front and one in the rear that provide video for the inspectors. Two methods of external viewing include a compact LCD screen and software enabling the use of a laptop.
In some cases the robots cannot be used and when that is the case, inspectors must make use of a cable camera system. The unit wires are housed in a flexible shell that protects them during the inspection process. This model can be attached to other tools used to clean the vents and is equipped with a single camera on the front of the cable.
Stove vents in kitchens both commercial and residential are prone to grease fires because they are not actively cleaned. The biggest reason for not clearing out the vents is the fact that they are difficult to access and clean. When they are cleaned however, the robot of choice is the dry ice model that is used to clear the grease as it goes.
A dry ice machine is set up and attached to a compressor that is then attached to the robot which is used to traverse the vent. The unit is controlled via a control box like other models and uses a spraying nozzle to spray the grease with the dry ice. Once the grease comes into contact with the ice it instantly melts and is extracted using a vacuum of sorts with a grease trap attached to it.
With invention of these types of robots the business of clearing out ventilation shafts has become a much more effective. Bonuses also include real time recordings of the shafts prior to beginning to clean that are helpful for customers and training purposes. As the world of robots and ventilation shaft clearing progress, the possibilities are virtually endless.
